A unique limited edition set of prints of the H.W. Garratt oil paintings.
These oil paintings by H.W. Garratt show a 0-6-0 + 0-6-0 locomotive, the K1, the view from the K1 driver's cab, Great Eastern Number 603 and the unknown 310 locomotive. It is thought that many of these were painted for publicity purposes, as some of the locomotives featured were never manufactured. Garratt designed and patented his articulated steam locomotive in 1907. From 1909, they were manufactured under an exclusive UK license by Beyer, Peacock & Co. Ltd. of Gorton, Manchester. over the lifetime of Garratt's design , a total of 1,636 Garratt's ran on 86 railways in 48 countries. Of these, Beyer, Peacock built 1,116.
